October Recap
What I loved + where I'm at
October came and went faster than it ever has. Between grappling with the idea of induction while trying to soak up more one-on-one time with Archer, working my full-time 9–6 job, and putting energy into improving my content creation, my days were jam-packed. Now, with Callan’s arrival, I’m trying to slow down a bit. Anyone who knows me knows I have a hard time sitting still. My mind is constantly running and my mental to-do list never seems to end. But in the quiet moments between feedings, I wanted to take a minute to recap some things I loved in October.
Halloween. Experiencing this as a parent was so magical. To witness Archer light up in his puppy costume will forever be one of my favorite memories.
Leather jackets. In particular this one from Zara (I took a large) and this one from Sezane (I took a 4).

Attempting to do my hair. I’m an avid believer in look good feel good and there is something so special about a good hair day. I’ve been using this hair oil at night and then finally found a curling iron that is easy to use.
Archer’s current age. He is a parrot and repeats everything he hears in the cutest possible way. I do not know where my little baby went!
Make Beauty. In full transparency I was gifted their product, but I will absolutely be a repeat customer. From their foundation to their eyeshadows, this clean beauty brand hits all my requirements.
Left on Friday activewear. I love their swim and only recently tried their activewear and it is just as comfy! The fact that it was able to stretch to fit my bump was amazing.
Wave crib. It goes from a bassinet, to a crib, to a toddler bed and has wheels. Most brands want you to buy more and more stuff, but Nestig really puts the customer’s needs first.
The Joan jean. I have a bit of a jean addiction and these are my new favorite. They make my legs looker longer than anything I own and my mom has already asked to borrow.
Richard Scarry books. These are Archer’s absolute favorite books ever. He sat through a 90 minute car ride just reading one of them.
Bumpsuit waist trainer. I used this after Archer was born and now after Callan and it really has helped me feel supported postpartum.
Slides. The ease of sliding into a shoe vs. sitting down to put something on with kids is a lifesaver. I love these for everyday and these and these for a slightly more polished look.
Elastic waist pants. These are the best pair ever as they do not wrinkle and are the most breathable fabric. RILEY15 should work!
Kimono pjs. So nice I wore them to the hospital twice. Makes skin to skin time and breastfeeding so much easier.
Everything Loeffler Randall right now. From their jackets to their shoes, they keep cranking out amazing new arrivals. The Danny boots are insanely comfortable.
Perelel. I am a loyal Perelel girlie. I have taken their conception packs, their trimester packs, their recovery packs, their probiotics. RILEYKIM20 should work!
